MC began teaching in 1984 and retired March 2016. Since then, she has self-published 13 stories. Currently she is working on books 14 and 15. During the last four years has posted 317 blogs on topics of growth mindset, parenting, education and literacy. Her two Youtube channels primarily feature her simple yet playful video readings of her own stories and those of favourite authors. Her stories are filled with rich vocabulary, rhyme, alliteration while encouraging the maintenance of a growth mindset. She earned 34th place in the 2010 Writer’s Digest Poetry Awards.
