Grenache, Syrah, Mouvedre, and Carignan, are just four of the 27 varietals of grapes that can be used in the Rhone. These four grapes, however, reach far beyond the Rhone vineyards that made them famous. In this tasting and class, we will be surveying Rhone-style wines from around the world. We will compare how weather, soil, climate, and wine-making styles allow each locale to showcase these grapes.
Each participant will receive 6 tasting-sized (3oz) pours of each wine being discussed and a pairing kit with three cheeses and mixed accompaniments.
For your comfort, this class is being offered in-person and virtually. If you wish to participate online you may select this option after purchasing your tickets. Virtual tickets have a $5 surcharge to cover the cost of small tasting bottles which you may keep after the class. Pickups are available on the day of class to allow the wines to be shown at their best.
All participants will get a reminder email two days prior to the class with pickup information, online class link, and in-person arrival instructions. Please note that wine pickups will only be available the day of the class for those 21+ with vaild ID.
