This week we celebrate some of the more unique cheeses around: buffalo and mixed milk cheese. The class will start with a tasting and talk about a couple of water buffalo cheeses. We'll learn what makes these big ol' bovines great for mozzarella (and other cheese) production. We will then talk and taste a few different mixed milk cheeses. You'll learn why and where you find these amalgams of cow, sheep, and goat milk.
This class is a stand alone part of our September and October series, Beautiful Rind at the Farm. Each week we will discuss a different dairy animal, so be sure to check out classes on sheep, goats, and cowss. Each class is independent of the others, so sign up for one, all, or something in between.
For your comfort, this class is being offered in person and virtually. If you wish to participate online you may select after purchasing your tickets. Each ticket includes a tasting of at least five different cheeses and expert instruction. Wine, beer, and charcuterie pairings are also available at checkout.
To ensure a safe and comfortable setup, all group reservations must be made under a single name or may not be seated together. All sales are final and non-refundable. We are unable to transfer class tickets to another date. Reselling for greater than posted value is prohibited. All participants purchasing and consuming alcohol pairings must be 21+ with valid ID.
