Bettina will be hosting esteemed chef and pizzaiolo, Chris Bianco, for a five-course collaboration dinner featuring dishes inspired by Italian tradition and brought to life with seasonal California produce. Beverages are not included but Bettina's full cocktail, beer and wine menu will be available, along with suggested pairings.
The family-style menu will feature Chris Bianco's famous focaccia, market-inspired antipasto dishes, a fresh pasta course, Chef Brendan Smith's naturally leavened wood-fired pizza & dessert.
For each ticket sold, a portion of the proceeds will go to benefit the Julia Child Fund for the Santa Barbara Culinary Experience. The Julia Child Foundation for Gastronomy and the Culinary Arts was created in 1995 with the mission to educate and encourage everyone to appreciate the joys of cooking, eating and drinking well. The Foundation has granted more than $2 million to non-proﬁts supporting research in culinary history, scholarships for professional culinary training, food writing and media as well as professional development and food literacy programs.
Chris Bianco has helped spawn a generation of independent and artisanal pizzeria’s, lending his advice, wisdom and food philosophies to dozens of fellow chefs and restaurateurs. Chris received the James Beard Foundation Award for Best Chef: Southwest in 2003, and in 2013 and 2014, the Foundation nominated Pizzeria Bianco in the Outstanding Restaurant category. He owns Pizzeria Bianco, Bar Bianco, Tratto, & Pane Bianco in Arizona, and will soon be opening Pizzeria Bianco in LA.
