Join owner and winemaker, Sarah O'Herron, for one of our most anticipated seminars of the year.
The tasting will begin in our Main Tasting Room where you will be greeted with a splash of wine and introduced to Sarah before heading out on a tour of our vineyard and winery. She will guide you past our budding grape vines and down to the barrel room where you will learn all about the process of making a Black Ankle wine. The tour will end in our Library where you will sample our 2022 wine portfolio pulled straight from the barrels!
As you explore the components of our wines, Sarah will lead a discussion on the importance of barrels in the winemaking process and why barrels lay the foundation for the wines that end up in our bottles. You will also be given a pipette and will have the chance to try your own hand at blending wines! For added fun, you may also be allowed free reign of our current library offerings, with the ability to purchase any older vintage of BAV wine you like (shhhh). :)
To complement and enhance the profiles of the wines you'll be sampling, our team has prepared a pairing featuring local artisan fare including select cheeses, charcuterie, and other delicious treats.
