Canvasback was born of the quest to find great new terroir for Cabernet Sauvignon. In 2011, the team at Duckhorn Portfolio conducted an extensive blind tasting between Napa Valley and Washington State Cabernet Sauvignons. We became extremely excited about the quality and character of the wines from Washington State – in particular Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon. Chef Carl Brindle of Wild Thyme Mobile Bistro will prepare a four-course meal to pair perfectly with Canvasback wines, including our award-winning Cabernet Sauvignons and Malbecs.
