BlueStem Jazz is back on the Garver Patio featuring QUAD: Dave Cooper, Tom Gullion, Nick Moran, & Matt Endres.
This piano-less quartet includes Dave Cooper on trumpet, Tom Gullion on sax, Nick Moran on bass, and Matt Endress on drums. The compositions and improvisational directives are inspired by saxophonist Tim Berne and trumpeter Ralph Alessi. While there is written music, it tends to be interpreted more freely and the improvisations are not always based on chords, scales, forms, like more conventional jazz harmony.
This event will relocate to the indoor lounge should the weather conditions be unfavorable.
