Celebrate Dry Creek Vineyard's 50th Anniversary of winemaking with the staff at Harbor House and special guest Kim Star Wallace, President of Dry Creek Vineyard. This premier family-owned winery was established in 1972 in Sonoma County, California by David S. Stare, father of Kim Star Wallace. Known to be daring and innovative winemaker who was willing to push the envelope to produce the highest quality wine possible, David S. Stare was at the forefront of the viticultural reawakening of Dry Creek Valley. He was the first to plant Sauvignon Blanc vines in Sonoma County and to release a Fumé Blanc.
Today, David's daughter and winery president, Kim Stare Wallace, upholds the family’s traditions to continue producing premium wines with the original vision in mind while innovating for the future. Together with her husband and business partner, Don Wallace, the second-generation winery owner has been instrumental in guiding the 185-acre winery on its path toward being recognized as a Certified California Sustainable Vineyard and Winery. Kim’s focus on producing appellation-focused, terroir-driven, and varietal-defining wines has maintained Dry Creek Vineyard's position as a leading producer in Sonoma County for its selection of Sauvignon Blanc and Zinfandel grape varietals.
Join the Harbor House team for a spectacular evening as you savor a seven-course meal prepared by Chef de Cuisine Michael Genre and his team paired with six Dry Creek Vineyard wines. Kim will share the history of her family’s vineyard and guide you through the wines chosen to highlight the 50 years of winemaking.
This is an event you don’t want to miss! Join us on Monday, September 12 at 6 PM.
