Join us at Hewn Bakery on Wednesday, April 23rd at 6:30 PM for an evening of community, connection, and compassion as we raise vital funds for Refugee One, a non-profit organization that serves refugees and asylum seekers from all over the globe.
As of January 27, the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program (USRAP) has been suspended, ceasing refugee arrivals and adjacent government funding. RefugeeOne remains steadfast in their commitment to providing resources and opportunities to those already here and those hoping to come.
“Bake a Difference: Supporting Refugee One at Hewn” will feature an inspiring program, including personal stories by current Refugee One staff working at Hewn, insights from Hewn's founders Ellen and Julie, and an overview of Refugee One's critical mission and the challenges they are currently facing. Enjoy delicious small bites and drinks, live music, and a raffle with exciting prizes. Witness a live baguette baking demonstration by Ellen, and take home your own freshly baked baguette! Learn about Refugee One's impactful work and how you can make a difference.
An anonymous donor will match 100% of all tickets purchased and donations made during the event, doubling your impact. All of the proceeds will go directly to Refugee One. Come and support a cause that truly matters, and one that is special in our hearts.
