We will be serving lamb from M&P Ranch in Goldendale with dishes inspired by flavors of the Levant. Normally, we would choose to pursue this kind of inspiration in late summer when tomatoes, eggplant, and peppers are ripening. But we are excited to create this kind of menu around the ephemeral produce of early spring. It should open paths to unexpected moments and amplify the delicate tendencies of the new wines. We will focus on serving wines from our site in the arid and windswept lands of the Eastern Gorge. These wines embody the paradox of encountering quenching delicacy amongst the drying winds and blazing heat.
This is a series of dinners inspired by a different theme each month. Winemaker Nate Ready will speak about each set of wines, the way they interact with the food, and their connection to the story of the farm. Our hope is that this dinner can introduce you to a holistic and new way to look at wine, cuisine, and the way they emerge from ideas, beauty, history, and personal narrative. These dinners represent the most in-depth exploration of the food and wine of the farm to date. There are just 12 seats available for each dinner at a shared table looking out on the vineyard.
