For our August gathering on Sunday the 4th, we found inspiration in our burgeoning summer crops and an Eastern approach to staying cool, hydrating and nourishing the body. Join us for an Indian inspired selection of thali style snacks, saag, and chutney made from garden vegetables, alongside goat vindaloo. Spicy dishes, yogurt, and chai will be paired with two new wine releases: 2018 Albarino "Spring Ephemeral" and 2017 Hiyu Crataegus made from the alpine genetic relatives of Syrah. These two wines serve as complements to the intensely flavored dishes due to the former's uncanny resemblance to Reisling and latter's earthy, mountainous grounding.
