1. The Vibe is ’80s
When tasked with coming up with a creative concept, Onni Group’s senior director of food and beverage William “Billy” Caruso says he was inspired by ’80s nostalgia. He describes the vibe as, “Stranger Things meets Mighty Ducks meets vintage basketball cards meets G.I. Joe.”
2. Winter Curling is the Main Attraction
We’re talking four curling courts. “It’s the real deal,” says Billy. You can rent a rink for one-hour increments, and come March, Stone’s Throw will host a big tournament with prizes.
3. Decked Out Yurts
Expect heated yurts equipped with a bar, a mixologist shaking craft drinks, ’80s posters, Nintendo Super Mario Bros., and other nods to the era.
4. Cocktails + Snacks
Get ready for ’80s-inspired snacks and s’mores. Think Gushers, Fruit by the Foot, and cheese puffs. “All of the stuff that no one should be eating,” says Billy, but that we all truly want. Hot cocktails will come in a little Stanley thermos from the eighties.
5. There Will Be Merch
Eighties-themed merch, of course. “We got a bunch of weird stuff, which I’m really excited about,” says Billy, like koozies, crazy shirts, vintage beanies, and patches.
