Class Notes: Like much cocktail history, the origins of the old fashioned are often debated. During this two-hour class, we'll discuss the different stories behind the iconic cocktail, from Jerry Thomas to James E Pepper and the Pendennis Club in Louisville, KY, while making four different variations of the libation.
Run Of Show: Small plate BBQ buffet, Intro, first cocktail instruction, social break/light music (10-15min), food buffet served, second cocktail instruction, social break/light music (10 min), third cocktail instruction, social break/light music (10 min final cocktail instruction, outro, acoustic performance (15-20 min)
Cocktail Menu: We'll create four different types of delicious and unique old fashioned. From light and refreshing to boozy and stirred, you don't want to miss this one.
Food Menu - Peg Leg Porker BBQ buffet with assorted crudités and other sides will also be served.
What You Need: Make sure to bring your photo ID, arrive early and let us know of any allergies you have or any non-alcoholic substitutes you desire. If you are in a group, please provide the number of people in your group and a designated name.
