Mark your calendars! The first Thursday of each month is no longer just the day that wine club wines are ready for pickup, it’s the day that we’ll be cracking open those wines at an in-house flight session that is free to all members, Flight Club & Wine Club alike. In this casual one-hour flight, you will taste a sequential flight of four wines. Flight Sessions are casual, yet engaging socially oriented events held at community seated tables. A sommelier will be on hand to answer questions and give further details on the wines.
December isn’t the cruelest month for Denver (we’d reserve that for February’s gray or April’s can-we-please-just-be-done-with-snow-and-move-along-into-summer situation) but when the sun goes down before 5:00 it can be tough on the emotional fortitude. But the early sunset can also be a positive: Somehow it feels more acceptable to drink earlier since it’s already dark! I’ve selected a couple of standout bottles this month that find their place in December by being delicious on their own for those before-dinner sips, but also pair well with the meals of this season.
Domaine des Escaravailles ‘Heritage 1924’
