The art of pairing wines with spices and herbs starts with the common aroma compounds found in both. It's quite common for various spices and herbs to share similar aroma compounds with wine. For example, pairing Syrah with black pepper highlights the shared spicy yet floral compound, rotundone. When you match flavors that echo each other, they amplify the overall experience. This approach, known as congruent pairing, is the foundation for matching wines with a variety of spices.
Each guest will have the sensory tools of cinnamon, nutmeg, star anise, dried fruit, herbs, flowers, and other sensual delights to awaken the senses and experience the wines in a whole new way.
Welcomed with a warm mug of Noble Riot Mulled Wine and 5 wines paired with the delights of the holiday season.
