The first in NoMI’s Taste of NoMI dining series invites guests to experience traditional Japanese cuisine contextualized within the signature Chicago restaurant perched seven floors above the city below. Guided by NoMI Executive Chef Terence Zubieta & Breakthru’s Sake Expert Tona Palomino, the reception and 6-course tasting menu will span the full breadth of Japanese cuisine alongside curated wine & sake pairings. Guests will discover street-food favorites like Karaage Chicken, to refined sushi dishes like the Aburi Beni Toro, a rich salmon belly lightly charred by an open flame and finished with a whiskey barrel aged soy sauce. The evening will feature private usage of the restaurant’s elegant NoMI Kitchen dining space overlooking Water Tower and Lake Michigan.
