The second part of the series goes back to more familiar ground for our Riesling enthusiasts as we welcome 10th generation winemaker Constantin Richter of Weingut Max Ferd Richter. In contrast with Andrea's drive to return to her region's historic grape growing and wine making practices, Constantin has set out to continue his family's ancient traditions.
The wines are truly of a place, the Mosel, and anyone who was at our dinner in January with Johannes Selbach will very much enjoy further enjoyment of this region's noble varietal. ASG Culinary Director and charcuterist, Julia Poplawsky has a menu set out that will highlight authentic German cuisine and match the elegance of these wines.
We are very fortunate to have hosted so many visiting winemakers, these events really give great context to the wines we've enjoyed for so many years as well as to connect with the people whose hard work turns into world class wine. The wines of Max Ferd. Richter are some of the best and most representative of the height of Mosel wines. Prost!
