Moving into the peak of summer, our garden's bounty is in full swing. Join us in celebrating aromatic herbs and their many uses at RPM. Deirdre Fraser, our in-house Gardener & Forager will take you through an in-depth tour of the garden focusing on some of the many unusual herbal, culinary, medicinal, and native plants we have sourced. While diving into their fascinating origins and uses through time, and discussing some of the innovative ways chefs are using these herbs now.
Participants will also have a behind the scenes look at our plant drying program, help to brew a fresh herbal tea directly in the garden, and gather mixed herb bouquets to take home for fresh and dried use. Light refreshments will be provided by our RPM Bakehouse team.
Note: Guests should arrive prepared to be outside, with appropriate footwear for walking on uneven ground. Hats, sunscreen and sunglasses are recommended, as well as a light layer in case the temperature falls. We will provide garden tools, but guests may bring their own garden gloves if desired. Please include details on personal dietary restrictions and allergies when booking.
