In ADHD and Sex Part One, we learned about ADHD through the Neurodiversity Affirming Lens and explored some of the ways ADHD can impact sex and relationships. In ADHD and Sex: A Deeper Dive, we will look more closely at some of the issues that may come up for ADHDers during sexual/romantic connections. Focusing on the lived experience of ADHD, this course will cover topics including:
-Hyperfocus and lack of focus
-Perception and Attention
-Sensory differences
-The role of novelty
-Emotional experience, including Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria
-Impact of natural cycles on ADHDers
-The presence of ADHD in marginalized sexual identities
After taking this course, attendees of ADHD and Sex Part Two: A Deeper Dive will have a greater understanding of the lived experience of their ADHD clients and how ADHD may impact sexual and romantic relationships. This course will also offer Neurodiversity Affirming and Sex-Positive ways to help ADHDers have thriving sexual and romantic experiences.
