In 2004, enologist and viticulturist Rafael Cañizares founded Bodegas Volver, a project dedicated to repositioning quality Spanish wines and recovering old indigenous vineyards which had been lost through either low production or lack of generational succession. The project's most prized asset is a heritage of vines between 30 and 90 years old -- indigenous varieties cultivated in a sustainable way with minimal intervention. Cañizares comes from a family tradition of four generations bound to the vine and wine, and has been working to bring Spanish wines international since the 1990s.
On Thursday, June 23, join Radio Social + Bodegas Volver for a five-course pairing dinner featuring Bodegas Volver's organic Tarima wines complemented by adventurous Mediterranean-inspired cuisine from Chef Josh Prahler + co.
