About Chef Sakari:
Chef Sakari Smithwick spent his childhood between New York and North Carolina, where humble beginnings kickstarted his career as a McDonald's grill cook. After receiving his BBA in Restaurant Management, Sakari brought his talents to Marea (2 Michelin Stars), Eleven Madison Park (3 Michelin Stars), and Ukiyo, where Sakari earned his first Michelin star alongside Chef Marco Prins. In 2019, he finished second on Food Network's Chopped, impressively making it to the final dessert round. He was recently named the recipient of CEO and Entrepreneur, Gary Vaynerchuck's Sorcerer Scholarship. Sakari is now working to bring his vision alive with his own multimedia culinary concept, Noble Promise.
About Chef Alex:
Born and raised in Nashville, Chef Alex was inspired to cook by his grandmother and proceeded to work at some of the top restaurants in Nashville after graduating from culinary school, including Husk under James Beard award-winning chef Sean Brock. He has also staged at other James Beard award-winning establishments, such as Spoon & Stable in Minneapolis and Blackberry Farm in Walland, TN. Chef Alex ran a catering company, Alex Belew Catering, for ten years, and also was the chef/owner of Dallas & Jane in Murfreesboro, which Eater Nashville named the best restaurant in Middle Tennessee.
