Piedmont, located at the foot of the Alps, is one of Italy's largest wine-producing regions. It has long been known for its refined cuisine and excellent wines, as well as its numerous world-renowned appellations. Elvio Cogno Winery, located in Piedmont's Langhe region, is one of those world-renowned appellations.
Founded by Elvio Cogno in the 1950s, the Cogno family has over 11 hectares of vineyards that sit on a hilltop. The philosophy at Elvio Cogno is experimental coupled with traditional practices, which has resulted in high-quality grapes and beautifully balanced wines. The estate wine production is now managed by co-owners and winemakers Nadia, Elvio Cogno's daughter, and her husband Valter. The wine selection consists of four different Barolo varietals in addition to other red wines including Barbaresco, Barbera, and Dolcetto.
Join us as we shut down the restaurant to celebrate one of Italy's top wineries on Thursday, June 8. Elvio Cogno Winery owner and winemaker Valter Fissore will be on hand to discuss and share his exquisite wines paired with a five-course menu specially prepared for this night by Executive Chef Juan Urbieta.
