Chef David Barzelay channeled his self-taught, passion-driven culinary skills into a thriving underground dinner party that evolved into his two-Michelin-starred, San Francisco restaurant Lazy Bear. Lazy Bear's cuisine is driven by nostalgia and a reverence for the wild, always expressing a deep sense of place in the San Francisco Bay Area. Becoming a chef after leaving a brief career as an attorney, Barzelay was named among Food & Wine’s “Best New Chefs” in 2016, and Lazy Bear has been listed as one of Bon Appétit’s “Best New Restaurants,” San Francisco Chronicle’s “Top 100 Bay Area Restaurants,” James Beard Awards semifinalist for “Best New Restaurant,” and James Beard finalist for "Outstanding Wine & Beverage Program." In late 2017, Barzelay and Nicolas Torres opened True Laurel, a bar-centered project in San Francisco that is consistently listed not only as one of San Francisco's best restaurants, but as one of the top cocktail bars in the country.
Rooster & the Till is thrilled to invite you to the highly anticipated 2023 Guest Chef Dinner Series this fall. This extraordinary dining and beverage experience brings together top chefs from around the country for a 4-part collaborative rotation, each presenting a unique evening showcasing their style, skills and passions.
Prices for all dinners include your 6 course tasting menu with wine pairing. Tax & gratuity included upon checkout.
