A midsummer workshop dedicated to our role in the natural world. Connect through materials found and cultivated in our field.
The solstice is a magical time for wishing. Inspired by the palettes of this season's beautiful early sunrises and long golden sunsets, we will learn how to make flower crowns, flower bracelets, and posies to adorn ourselves and loved ones with. Guests will learn the mechanics of wearable florals, color theory, as well as the different floral varieties that are at peak bloom in June. We will also reflect on the season behind us to pay gratitude to the beautiful materials it brought us and look forward to the season ahead with anticipation of what is to come. Along with creating beautiful florals, guests will receive refreshments prepared by our SingleThread chefs and books selected by our floral team to seek inspiration and joy from.
"The Bee is not afraid of me.
I know the Butterfly.
The pretty people in the Woods
Receive me cordially—
The Brooks laugh louder when I come—
The Breezes madder play;
Wherefore mine eye thy silver mists,
Wherefore, Oh Summer's Day? "
- Emily Dickinson
