In this hands-on cooking class we focus on the preparation of Osso buco. You will be transported from San Diego to Lombardia, Italy, to learn how the perfect Osso buco is made. The key to classic Osso buco is knowing exactly how the meat is braised, and that is one of many things you will learn from Chef Denice. Lombardia is famous for their Osso buco! And what does a wonderful plate of Osso buco need? Risotto! Chef Denice will also lead you to prepare the world’s best risotto where the rice is the perfect level of “creamy-ness” but the kernels are still whole and firm. The fun starts at 10:30am at Solare with an Italian-style coffee of your choice. Italian wine is served for students interested in “cooking with wine”. Important: Please wear closed toe shoes.
