Identifying aromas in wine can dramatically enhance the tasting experience. It’s a skill that you can develop - not a talent. Join Glenna for a training and practice session in “olfaction” - the act of detecting smells.
We will smell and taste 5 Symbiosis wines, and we’ll discuss what we identify in the wines. We'll explore broad categories like flowers, wood, and fruit, but also get into fine details. For example: if it's citrus-ey, is it lemon? Beyond that - Meyer or regular yellow, dry or fresh or cooked, zest or juice, or "lemon-like" as in lemongrass or lemon verbena? We'll also identify some wine flaws and a little of the chemistry underlying all this and talk a little about food pairing.
Choose one of three 1.5 hr sniff and sip sessions:. 1-2:30, 3-4:30, or 5-6:30
