Domaine de la Terre Rouge Vintage Guided Wine Tasting - 7:30 Seating
Domaine de la Terre Rouge is one of the oldest members of California’s famed “Rhone Rangers” club. Founded in the late 1980s by pioneer Bill Easton, Terre Rouge focuses on producing intensely ageable Rhone-style wines, grown at elevation in the Sierra Foothills region of California. Terre Rouge wines have received nearly every accolade available to an American winery, and are regularly regarded as some of the top examples in the US.
A glance at the lineup reveals that these are wines that have had time to develop in bottle. A hallmark of Terre Rouge wines is their longevity, whether red, white or rose. Tasting the wines with age allows for the secondary depth and expression to develop, making for unique and memorable wines that reward patience. These remarkably developed wines are only possible thanks to the combination of place (high elevation, stony mountain soils), quality of fruit and care of winemaking.
Domaine de la Terre Rouge produces small quantities (typically 100-500 cases) of exceptional wines, as well as a few non-Rhone style wines under the Easton family label. Les Doss, National Sales Manager for Terre Rouge, will expertly guide us through the vintages which will be complimented by light hors d’oeuvres prepared by Chef Brian and Chef Tom!
Tuesday, August 16th, 5:30 PM & 7:30 PM seatings - limited seating available
