Pottery & Food - plate and sashimi workshop by artist Tina and chef Také
Learn how to decorate a ceramic sashimi plate with artist Tina Williams of BraveCeramics & learn how to slice fish and plate sashimi like professionals! These two classes are one hour events perfect for people who enjoy getting creative & making food look great!
At the first class (Jan 26th), Tina will teach a beginner friendly pottery decorating and painting class. Students will learn about the ceramic plate making process then receive a demonstration on how to add silk screened designs onto the plate and how to properly add ceramic glaze. Participants will design the outside surface of their plate to personalize their pottery. Pre-made design decals will be available but hand drawn designs are also encouraged! Plates decorated in class are taken back to the pottery studio to be fired in a kiln and will be finished 3 weeks after class.
And then, at the second class, (Feb 16th) You will receive your completed square sashimi plate during the hands-on workshop of sashimi slicing and plating from chef Také which you will learn how to slice fish properly for sashimi and plate them neatly on your personalized sashimi plate. After class ends, you are welcomed to stay and enjoy your sashimi with drinks available for purchase.
*All ingredients and tools will be prepared by us, except please bring your knife you would like to use to slice sashimi at the second class. ( if you do not have one, you can borrow from us, but we prepare to teach you with the knife you normally use at your own kitchen.)
