Come to this tasting preview of the cuisine of Hana Izumi restaurant which will open in January 2023. Chef Koji will prepare a plate of small dishes that have been influenced by his background as a former Kaiseki chef at the world-famous Kitcho in Tokyo, where one of his colleagues is the chef at San Mateo's Wakuriya; as private chef to Japan's ambassador in Washington DC; and currently as executive and general manager at Sanraku in the Bay Area. We will pour a sparkling wine and a red wine and two sakés, all specially selected to pair with the food. Our special event is a unique pre-opening opportunity for a taste of Hana Izumi, a concept formed by both Chef Koji and his wife and partner, Luna Miyuki. We anticipate Hana Izumi to be one of the most talked-about new restaurants in 2023. This tasting collaboration with Hana Izumi and our wines and saké selection is an experience not to be missed!
