In this Somm Series class, we will dive into the intricacies of winemaking. We will walk through the chemistry of fermentation and discuss how different fermenting agents, vessels and wine making decisions can alter the way a wine presents in the glass. We will taste 4 wines from 4 different fermentation / aging vessels and discuss the effects of each on each wine.
The Somm Series are a new set of classes brought to you by the Wine Boot Camp Instructors of La Compagnie des Vins Surnaturels. These classes go beneath the surface to help you understand why a wine tastes a certain way. We will discuss the intricacies of viticulture, enology and how these things relate to wine professionals today. Let's dive in!
