Join us for the 2nd Annual Bagel Trot.
Bagel Trot is a self-guided, self-paced walking tour of some of Seattle's best locally owned bagel shops and cafes, and a fundraiser for Recovery Café, a community of people who have been traumatized by homelessness, addiction and other mental health challenges coming to know they are loved and that they have gifts to share.
Starting in South Lake Union, participants will get to sample bagels from Rubinstein's Bagels, taste coffee from Caffe Vita, enjoy fruit from Frank's Produce, and hear music from a New Orleans style Brass Band, and then journey along Eastlake to North Seattle. Stop along the way at:
Recovery Cafe
Grand Central Cafe & Bakery
Portage Bay Grange & Feed
Westman's Bagels
Ten Thousand Villages
Broadcast Coffee
Local Yokels Market
Zylberschtein's, your final destination where Blue Kettle Books will be set up with their mini-book mobile.
This year's trot is approximately 7 miles. Feel free to add stops along the way to extend your adventure.
Registration Fee: $50/adult and $25/child (2-12 yo); children 2 and younger are free to participate
Each participant will get a Bagel Trot T-shirt designed by Mark Kaplan, a Recovery Café Member. Enjoy noshes or discounts at participating businesses along the route.
Sign up by May 15th to guarantee a spot and pick up your shirt at the start. Sign-ups after this date can still participate but may not get your first choice of shirt size.
If you are unable to attend but would like to make a donation to Recovery Café you may do so here: www.recoverycafe.org/donate.
