While everyone is busy making New Year’s Eve plans, we’re going to go out a limb and say the real party is happening on New Year’s Day. And by party, we mean you and your loved ones at home making brunch and drinking mimosas, or depending on where you are, at a very intimate brunch at your favorite restaurant. We’re all ready for a new year—make sure to start this one off on a delicious note.

Mediterranean New Year's Brunch

Newcomer Aba came to Austin in October with the flavors of Israel, Lebanon, Turkey, and Greece. Chef CJ Jacobson’s Mediterranean brunch is the perfect way to kick off the new year. It comes with short rib shakshuka, a Jerusalem bagel with smoked salmon spread, muhammara (a hot pepper dip), seasonal berries, and strawberry drop biscuits with strawberry sumac Chantilly crème. Complete your meal with special New Year’s cocktails or wine. This brunch is also available for pickup and delivery in Chicago.

This year, Cafe Ba-Ba-Reeba! is bringing their famous pajama brunch to the comfort of your home, and this one hits all the right notes: sweet, savory, umami, and boozy. Prix Fixe Brunch

Chef Hector Laguna gets his inspiration from the abundant botany of British Columbia and the Pacific Northwest. The luxurious New Year’s brunch begins with a welcome glass of bubbles.
