Even though the history of wine production in the United States is relatively brief, it’s bursting with vibrancy. From New York State to Puget Sound, and spanning from before the Gold Rush to the age of Instagram, much of this nation’s story echoes through its wine. It’s a narrative of trial and tribulation, all building toward a central question: where do we go from here?
This is always a fun class—full of beautiful contradictions and colorful people—as we traverse Sonoma, Washington, Oregon, and beyond. And we’ll do it all in just seven glasses.
Our World Of Wine class series introduces 100 wines from 100 of the world’s most famous appellations. As with all of our events, we use wine as a way to connect dots. We draw lines between flavors, farming, culture, and beyond. It’s a way to sip wine and engage the world in ways that that can be sometimes hilarious, at times deadly serious, but most importantly, always intoxicatingly interesting.
