Wine has certainly had a few plot twists over the course of its 8000 year history!
The last couple hundred years alone have brought some pretty serious bumps in the road: plagues, wars, and wildly changing trends to name just a few... but then there is something else which impacted wine production in more than just a few countries - strongmen. Ultra-nationalist leaders that rose to power and whose visions for the future reshaped their nation's wine production in profound ways - often times sending them backwards.
In this tasting we'll travel the world and look at a few of the biggest names in Fascist history: Mussolini, Pinochet, Hitler, Franco and others. This should be an absolute blast!
