Join bartender, bon vivant, and author Toby Maloney for a cocktail class at Cane & Table on Sunday SEPTEMBER 17 1PM. This class is approximately three and a half to fourfun-filled hours. Students will receive a copy of The Bartender's Manifesto (which won both The James Beard Award and The Spirited Award at TOTCF for Cocktail recipe book,) signed and personalized, and a workbook to follow along with the curriculum during Toby’s edu-tainment. The class will teach the Mechanics, Philosophies, and Flourishes that are painstakingly set down in The Bartender’s Manifesto. This course will cover not only how to analyze and fabricate a cocktail but expand to methods and tenets of creating your own unique concoctions. Students of all skill levels will walk away with a better understanding of what makes a cocktail tick, and how to make something delicious no matter what you have at hand.
There will be a schmoozy Happy Happy Hour, 5-7pm, immediately following the class that is open to the public. Jeff Berry, Neal Bodenheimer and Toby Maloney will all be signing Books.
We will taste (½ oz) of approximately ten (10) cocktails over the course of the class. There will be small tastes of spirits as well. Please eat heartily before attending. PLEASE HAVE APPROPRIATE TRANSPORTATION FROM CLASS TO HOME.
This Class is Sponsered By Tales of the Cocktail, Cane & Table, Maison Ferrand, Heaven Hill, Pernod-Ricard and Campari.
