Have you ever paired cheese with an afternoon cup of tea? Tea is one of our monger's favorite best-kept-secret pairings to go with cheese. We are partnering up with one of our favorite local importers of Chinese single-origin teas, Volition Tea. Annie Xiang, founder of Volition, will be onsite pouring & telling the stories of each single-origin tea while Beautiful Rind's Certified Cheese Professional talks cheese. You'll get to taste some great combinations of the two, while learning a bit about each and why they taste so good together. Volition Tea was founded in 2021 and their mission is "By building a tea experience that’s deeply rooted in humanity, we strive to help tea drinkers everywhere develop a deep understanding and appreciation of tea and its producers."
4-5 of Volition's Chinese single-origin teas will be paired up with 4-5 cheeses by the mongers at Beautiful Rind in an interactive guided tasting. After getting the rundown of each tea, cheese, and why they work together, you'll have a chance to ask all your beverage, cheese, and pairing questions of Volition and Beautiful Rind. This class will contain multiple caffeinated beverages, so may not be suitable for children or those who are sensitive to caffeine.
To ensure a great experience, all group reservations must be made under a single name or may not be seated together. Our table size is limited to 5 people. If you have more than five individuals, feel free to make separate reservations, but due to space you will not be seated at the same table., though with 48 hour advance notice, we can usually sit parties near each other.
