Francesca Nonino is coming to dinner!
For six generations, the Nonino family has been distilling in Friuli, helping change the way the world thinks about grappa along the way. Francesca grew up inside that story, and we’ll have the rare pleasure of spending an evening around the table with her.
Zak will prepare a multi-course October dinner while our bar explores four very different sides of Nonino. We’ll begin with cicchetti and L’Aperitivo, then move into the beautiful aromatics of Moscato Grappa with antipasti and pasta. Amaro Nonino takes us into secondi before we arrive at something particularly special: Picolit Cru Monovitigno Grappa, poured simply as we move into dessert.
Francesca will be with us throughout the evening, sharing the people, places and stories behind what’s in our glasses. Most of us know the amaro. Some of us know the grappa. Getting to sit down with Francesca, hear the stories firsthand and taste our way through the evening? That’s soemthing special.
