Join us as we extend the festivities of our Wild Flour Weekend with an enchanting experience amidst the blossoming wildflowers. On Sunday, April 7th, 2024, from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM, venture with us to Condor’s Hope Vineyard for an exploration of nature's beauty. Led by California natural history expert, Steve Gliessman, embark on a guided nature walk to uncover the secrets of native plants emerging after the winter rains. Delight in a sensory journey with wine and olive oil tastings, complemented by delectable hors d'oeuvres, all crafted from their organic, dry-farmed grapes. Don't forget to bring a packed lunch from the Buckhorn to savor amidst the vineyard's panoramic views. Experience a blend of relaxation, education, and culinary indulgence, offering a memorable conclusion to our 2024 Wild Flour Weekend.
Directions: Turn left on highway 166 from Cuyama Buckhorn, drive about
14 minutes down the road, and then take a left at Cottonwood Canyon Rd. Continue for about 4.5 miles until Cottonwood Canyon ends. Turn right on Foothill Road. Drive for about half of a mile, and then turn right when you hit the fork with the cattle guard (which would lead up to forest service land).
About 200 meters down from the turn you will come to a another cattle guard, with no trespassing signs. Cross the first cattle guard, and then take the next right turn through the gate with the Condors Hope sign on top. Welcome to Condor’s Hope Ranch! Drive through the wash and up the driveway to the house.
We recommend a sun hat and sun protection, as well as a water bottle to stay hydrated for this experience!
