Chef Mark Lieuw returns to 12 Nights from Gozu alongside Chef Marc Zimmerman of Yokai. While both restaurants are from the same team, each offers a unique experience. Yokai holds the promise of the “spirits of Japan with the heart of San Francisco,” while Gozu is singularly focused on the nuances of Wagyu beef and whole-animal, rabata cooking. The north of the Bay Area is coming through this evening as well. We couldn’t imagine a better partnership with Mark and Marc than Chef Emma Horowitz, who leads the pastry department at three-Michelin-starred SingleThread. Chef Melissa Yanc of Molti Amici, who is also part of the powerhouse team behind Troubadour and Quail & Condor in Healdsburg, brings the culinary portion of the evening together.
We couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome James Beard Award-winning Wine Director and owner of A16 Shelly Lindgren to 12 Nights, and we couldn’t imagine partnering her up with anyone other than Master Sommelier Gillian Balance. Sommelier and Beverage Director Seth Corr of Greens Restaurant brings his talents to our no-alcohol pairings for the evening. This will definitely be a night to remember.
