Hot off of their amazing performance on The Food Networks "Pitmasters" series - we are ecstatic about kicking off season 2 of Dinner with Friends by welcoming chefs Reginald Jacob Howell & Denzel Johnson into the De La Soil kitchen!
The chefs met in college, where they were each getting their start in their own respective catering businesses.
Conversations frequented the subject of opening a restaurant together and in April of 2025 they made their dream a reality by going all in on opening Grann together in Tacoma.
I have been fortunate enough to drive down to Tacoma specifically for dinner at Grann. The depth of flavors in the goat gumbo was unreal, and their instagrammable papadums were the best way to start!!
How will they kick off dinner at De La Soil?!
