An Evening of Chocolate, Scent & French Perfumery
Join PURA Botanicals and Delavoye Chocolate Maker, two independent makers from Edmonton’s 124th Street community, for an evening exploring the delicious connection between chocolate and fragrance.
On October 29 from 7:00–8:30 PM, guests will gather at Delavoye for an intimate chocolate & chocolate truffle tasting and bespoke perfuming experience.
Discover how ingredients we associate with the world of chocolate and dessert can become sophisticated fragrance notes. Taste carefully selected chocolates from Delavoye while exploring gourmand perfume ingredients including cacao absolute, vanilla, coffee, coconut, orange, rose, sandalwood, and amber.
PURA Botanicals will introduce guests to traditional French perfuming techniques, teaching the fundamentals of fragrance composition and how to balance top, heart, and base notes. Using these techniques, each guest will create their own custom fragrance inspired by the evening’s chocolate tasting.
