Join us for a hands-on day camp that connects the kitchen to the garden as we explore how our farm transitions from winter into the spring growing season. Kids will learn directly from our farm team about what happens behind the scenes to prepare for spring and summer planting and how garden beds are cleaned, amended, and readied after winter, and which vegetables can be planted as the weather warms.
Kids will discover which early-season vegetables thrive in spring and how farmers decide what to plant and when. Using one of the vegetables currently available from our farm, kids will then prepare a simple, seasonal dish in our brand new renovated classrooms while seeing the full journey from soil to plate. This interactive day camp blends gardening, science, and cooking to help kids understand where their food comes from and how thoughtful preparation in the spring sets the stage for a successful growing season.
