Mezcal – tequila's smoky, terroir-imbued matriarch – is perhaps the hottest spirit in the hands of bartenders and on cocktail menus at the moment. Del Maguey has been sourcing and bringing single village mezcals stateside well before it was cool. Founded in 1995, Del Maguey now works with twelve families in Oaxaca and Puebla, four of whom have been with Del Maguey since inception.
For this cocktail pairing dinner, we'll select five village mezcals from the Del Maguey portfolio, and riff off of their characteristics, creating cocktails to co-star with cuisine from the mind of Chef Dan Martello and Co. Working with seasonal ingredients at the peak of harvest, our kitchen will flex its culinary muscle in complementing the inimitable quality, heritage and deliciousness of one of Mexico's most sacred spirits.
This event will start at 6pm with dinner served at 6:30pm on Tuesday, October 25 at Jackrabbit Club (40 Anderson Ave, next to Good Luck). Ticket includes five-course dinner, spirit pairings, hospitality, and tax.
