Pages & Passports Book Club: The Thirteenth Tale Dessert Par-Tea
Thursday, January 21, 2027 | 7:00 to 9:00 pm | $25 per person
Every family has its secrets. Some just keep them better than others.
Settle in on a winter’s night for our second Pages & Passports gathering, featuring Diane Setterfield’s The Thirteenth Tale. It’s a haunting gothic story about a young biographer summoned by England’s most famous and most mysterious novelist, who’s finally ready to tell the truth about her past. Think crumbling estates, windswept Yorkshire moors, twins, ghosts, and a story within a story that will keep you guessing until the last page.
Your evening includes:
- Jane’s signature tea service
- A dessert plate (no secrets here, just sweets)
- A book discussion led by Neil Fisher, owner of Explore Luxury Travel
- Our selfie station
Wine: Saddlehill wines are available for purchase by the bottle, or bring your own.
Pick up your copy at Inkwood Books. We’ve made arrangements with Inkwood Books in Haddonfield so you can grab the book locally and support an independent bookstore.
No passport required. This night is part of our Pages & Passports series, where every book is paired with a corner of England. Come for just the book club, or join us on our October 2027 literary trip to England. Find the full reading list and trip details at janesteahouse.com/pages-passports.
