Join us for a special evening of timeless wines and soulful Roman fare at Montesacro Enoteca in SF's Marina District, as we welcome Knox Clendenen of Au Bon Climat—son of the late, legendary Santa Barbara pioneer Jim Clendenen. Spanning decades of Santa Barbara winemaking, this intimate dinner will showcase the enduring brilliance of one of California’s most foundational estates.
Founded in 1982, Au Bon Climat has long championed Burgundian-style Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from California’s cool-climate vineyards. Rooted in tradition and a deep respect for Santa Barbara’s exceptional terroir, these wines are elegant, age-worthy, and unmistakably Californian.
Our host, Montesacro, brings the spirit of Rome to the Bay Area. As the first Roman pinseria in the U.S., it blends ancient culinary tradition with California’s freshest seasonal ingredients. Chef Guglielmi’s evocative, hyper-seasonal approach is a natural pairing for Au Bon Climat’s terroir-driven wines. While steeped in old-world traditions, both Montesacro and Au Bon Climat reinterpret the classics in a distinctly Californian way—a celebration of heritage, passion, and thoughtful pairing.
