An Evening of Grand Cru Burgundy, Alsace, & Champagne at Frances
Some dinners come together in a way that simply can’t be repeated. For this special gathering, K&L welcomes four renowned estates from Burgundy, Champagne, & Alsace for a night unlike anything we’ve hosted before. Representatives from Olivier Leflaive, Christian Moreau, Pol Roger, & Hugel will all be present to share the stories behind their wines.
Burgundy leads the lineup with Leflaive of Puligny-Montrachet, represented by Commercial Director Philibert de Vrigille. In nearby Chablis, 6th generation winemaker Fabien Moreau presents the family’s Grand Cru vineyards. Champagne arrives via Pol Roger, the historic Épernay house, represented by 6th generation Bastien Collard. From Alsace, Jean-Frédéric Hugel represents the 13th generation of a family estate whose history stretches back to the 1600s! Each estate stands as a benchmark of its region.
Our setting is Frances, chef Melissa Perello’s intimate SF restaurant, recognized nationally since opening in 2009 with a James Beard nomination and early acclaim from Bon Appétit and Esquire. With the restaurant turned fully toward the occasion, the room takes on the feeling of a private dinner party.
