Atlantic Brass Band is proud to serve as the Ensemble-in-Residence at Rowan University. The band brings together educators, college students, professional musicians, and musicians from a wide range of careers, all connected by a shared passion for British-style brass banding. Founded in 1984 as the Wheaton Brass Band by Yorkshire native Herb Roselle and his wife, Lucy, Atlantic is one of the longest-established British-style brass bands in North America. For more than four decades, the band has maintained an active schedule of concerts, competitions, festivals, and special performances throughout the region and beyond.
Atlantic has appeared at numerous prominent events, including the Gettysburg Brass Band Festival, Great American Brass Band Festival, International Trumpet Guild Conference, National Trumpet Competition, Music Educators National Conference Eastern Division, and New Jersey Music Educators Conference. Today, the band continues to build on its long history while sharing the distinctive sound and tradition of brass band music with audiences throughout the region.
