We are an alliance fostered by “Let’s Talk,” a national collaboration – across 10 cities so far - of over 200 women business owners. Founded by Chicago’s Rohini Dey, Ph.D., owner of Vermilion and trustee of the JBF, with the goal of bringing together women in food & beverage for collaborative action and support. What better way to celebrate International Women's Day than to Dine Together as one city to celebrate women? Join us March 8th and celebrate International Women's Day with the Let's Talk Womxn of the Bay Area.
This is an evening to share with all in your social and corporate circles, especially all the men who champion parity, which is far from solely a women's cause. Invite your colleagues, friends, daughters, sons and join us and Let’s Talk to change the dialog.
The 4 course menu is curated by 4 women-owned restaurants as follows:
Alamar Kitchen
Shrimp Sope (wild prawn, cilantro lime crema, plantain corn masa, Napa cabbage, chow chow)
Vegetarian Option: (Curry chickpeas, cilantro lime crema, plantain corn masa, Napa cabbage, chow chow)
Shakewell
Ancho chili chocolate and coffee braised short rib (cauliflower puree, pickled Fresno chili, preserved lemon, parsley)
Vegetarian Option: Acorn Squash and Hen of the Wood Mushrooms (cauliflower puree, pickled Fresno chili, preserved lemon, parsley)
Besharam
Chicken Biryani (Fluffy basmati rice cooked with saffron ghee and folded in with Jeera chicken, nuts, raisins)
Vegetarian Biryani (Fluffy basmati rice cooked with saffron ghee and folded in with veggies, nuts, raisins)
The Cook and Her Farmer
Meyer Lemon Tart, Seasonal Berries, Toasted meringue
Meal Kit pick up will take place on March 7th from 3-8pm at Alamar Kitchen (100 Grand Ave, Oakland)
