From Bench to Basin: East Coast Seafood Boil + Cool Climate Chardonnay
Join us at Malivoire, on the Beamsville Bench as we welcome our friends from Blomidon Estate Winery of Nova Scotia for an afternoon of cool climate Chardonnay, East Coast hospitality, and long-table dining in the vineyard. Inspired by the flavours and easygoing spirit of Eastern Canada, this collaborative experience brings together fresh East Coast oysters, a seafood boil-style lunch, and standout wines from two of Canada’s most exciting cool climate regions.
Guests will be welcomed with sparkling wine before heading behind the scenes for a relaxed walk through the winery and vineyard alongside winemakers, Simon Rafuse & Shiraz Mottiar. Between pours of Annapolis Valley, NS and Beamsville Bench, ON sparkling, we’ll chat Chardonnay clones, growing conditions, regional influences, and the nuances that make each wine uniquely expressive of place.
The afternoon continues among the vines with oysters and a side-by-side Chardonnay tasting before settling in for a hands-on seafood boil-inspired lunch prepared by Rodney’s Oyster House, served individually at the table and paired with a fresh lineup of more cool climate Chardonnays. Expect lively conversation, thoughtful pours, vineyard views, and the kind of communal dining experience that feels both elevated and effortlessly fun.
Guests will leave with a take-home dessert, the opportunity to purchase featured wines (from both wineries), and a deeper appreciation for Canadian cool climate winemaking across Canada.
☔In the event of rain, the experience will move indoors to the upper level of the winery while maintaining the full program and pairings.
