Intermediate Wine Tasting - Featuring Justin Naylor of Old Tioga Farm
Please join us for an afternoon of Italian wine tasting and discussion featuring our friend and special guest, Justin Naylor, of Old Tioga Farm. This is the next installment in our series of Italian wine classes, called Intermediate Italian Wines.
A wine autodidact and connoisseur, Justin has traveled extensively throughout Italy and will take you to various stops, from Sicily to Alto Adige, offering insight on method and history of each producer, varietal, and region.
Similar to what we've done in the past, the event features 5 diverse vintages -- one sparkling, one white, two red, and one dessert -- selected from Italy’s many winemaking regions for their unique qualities and distinct styles. However, this class is a step up in complexity. Each wine will be paired with special menu items created by MVD Chef Val Sartor to demonstrate how food can enhance the pleasure of wine and vice versa.
While the class has been created with those in mind who've already attended our Introduction to Italian Wines or Italian Wines of Summer classes, there are no pre-requisites at MVD U. You are welcome to join us regardless of your wine experience or knowledge. Even those who have just recently taken an interest in wine and food will surely learn a great deal and enjoy the experience.
